THE EDGE

an adaptation of works by Sylvia Plath

Ocean LeClair a young singer who arbitrarily embodies Sylvia Plath. Plath's books in covers, unopened. Disco ball is spinning, the vinyl is spinning, the world is spinning... just not around Sylvia anymore.

They could have met. Somewhere in the air, perhaps. They could have said they don't envy one another, that there is no competition between them. Both young, dead or alive, doesn't matter. But that would never happen, of course. Or they could have admitted that they both desire success in a porcelain world, confirmation of their value... by men.

They could have said that, sure, but they're too proud. It is possible they have searched for male validation. Yeah, that's possible, but not true. Maybe it would have been true, if they adapted their life, art work and carrier to the perception of men. That didn't happen though. Yeah, that definitely didn't happen.

The play „The Edge“ was performed as a set reading in Theatre LAB.
