Hey! I’m Ráchel - a playwright, performance artist and activist. Freshly graduated in Theatre Dramaturgy and Playwriting from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, I’m interested in where artistic curiosity, collaboration and new encounters can lead.


Based in Bratislava, I create art pieces for radio, mostly independent theatre and work on Gen Z-focused dramaturgy.

I’m currently dreaming, writing, and collaborating on a few projects that will come to life over the next seasons:

ALIBI (playwright & director)

As part of YOUNG EUROPE V., a co-production by the European Theatre Convention and the Slovak National Theatre – Drama Department, I’m developing a classroom play that explores the Dramaturgy of Care.
A project rooted in listening, responsibility, and being together.
Season 2027/2028

ROSA LUXEMBURG (assistant of director)

This season, I will join Deutsches Theater Berlin through an Erasmus+ internship as Assistant Director to Anica Tomić on a new production of Rosa Luxemburg, which will premiere in November. I look forward to contributing to the development of the production and expanding my practice within an international theatre environment.
Season 2026/2027

PENTHESILEA (playwright & director)

For my diploma project, I completed a rewriting of Penthesilea by Heinrich von Kleist, weaving Lacanian theory into the text through a feminist lens. The project received the Drama 2025 Prize at the NEW DRAMA 2026 festival. A long-term love and obsession of mine will continue next season in my own direction. Season 2026/2027
